Die Grundsteinlegung erfolgte im Jahr 1230, Baubeginn war aber erst im Jahre 1305. Erst im 20. Jahrhundert wurde das beeindruckende Geb\u00e4ude in seiner heutigen Form und Gr\u00f6\u00dfe fertiggestellt. Die Kathedrale hat eine L\u00e4nge von 109,5 Metern, ist 33 Meter breit und 44 Meter hoch.
