Sie liegt gegen\u00fcber der Nahem\u00fcndung und bildet zusammen mit dem <a title=\"Der Binger M\u00e4useturm\" href=\"http:\/\/georg-dahlhoff.eu\/monochrome\/?p=12861\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Binger M\u00e4useturm<\/a> das s\u00fcdliche Tor zum Oberen Mittelrheintal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Burg Ehrenfels<\/strong>\u00a0bei\u00a0<strong>R\u00fcdesheim am Rhein<\/strong>\u00a0wurde im 13. Jahrhundert als Zollburg des Erzbistum Mainz errichtet. Sie wurde vermutlich w\u00e4hrend des Pf\u00e4lzischen Erbfolgekrieges 1689 zerst\u00f6rt. Fr\u00fcher war die Anlage noch umfangreicher, aber einige der Festungsbauwerke mussten den Weinbergen so wie dem Bau der Eisenbahn und der Stra\u00dfe am Rheinufer weichen.
