Danach wurden die Ruine bis auf die heute noch vorhandenen Reste abgetragen. Der 22 Meter hohe Schlossturm, mit einer Seitenl\u00e4nge von 9,5 Meter, wurde in j\u00fcngster Zeit gr\u00fcndlich restauriert und pr\u00e4sentiert sich nach dem Entfernen der Ger\u00fcste in neuem Glanz. Der Turm ist ein beliebtes Ziel f\u00fcr Wanderer und f\u00fcr Weinbergsrundfahrten. In der Gemarkung der Stadt Nierstein gibt es ein gut beschildertes Wegenetz das gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils asphaltiert ist. Die Aussicht von den Weinbergen ist immer wieder ein Erlebnis.
